Featuring Amateur and Student films from North Carolina. Eligible students must be attending a NC high school, college or university.

Amateurs are non-student, non-professional full-time film makers living in NC.

The festival will be held at the Historic Turnage Theatre in downtown Washington, North Carolina.

Opening April 14th at 7 PM with the winning Best Overall film shown preceded by a meet & greet with some of the judges, film makers & cast.

Best of each film category shown on Saturday, April 15.

Tickets on sale March 1, 2017.

Entry application will be posted soon.

2017 Submission Categories:

– 3D

– Short (30 minutes or less)

– Animated

– Nature

– Historic

– Horror

– Documentary

Submissions of DVDs and fees accepted from January 2 through March 2, 2017 by Film Freeway only.

Winners will be notified by March 15, 2017 by email.

Acknowledgement for the Best of Category and cash prizes across submissions for

  1. Best Overall ($350)
  2. Best Short ($150)
  3. Best Full Length ($150)

accompanied by an Arts of the Pamlico’s unique Glass Tulip Award.

Rules & Terms

Rules & Fees:

Applicants must be living or studying in North Carolina.

Applicants may enter as many entries in a single category as they like but may not enter the same entry in multiple categories.

Fees are per entry. $25 non-students, $15 college/university students & $10 high school students.
